How it works
The unique technology behind Fraxel re:pair CO2 uses microscopic treatment zones to penetrate deep into the dermis to selectively ablate tissue while sparing much of the surrounding areas. These treatment zones stimulate your body's natural healing response, replacing old tissue with younger, smoother, healthier skin.
The procedure begins with the application of a topical anaesthetic cream to enhance your comfort. Local anaesthetic may also be added to deeper dermal areas for extra comfort. Procedure times vary depending on the surface area treated.
Recovery
It is normal to experience approximately five to seven days of redness and swelling similar to a sunburn. Some mild flaking may also occur which is moderated by prescribed skincare. Within days you can return to your normal routine, wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30+ daily.
